Kenmore Vacuum Cleaners

If you don't live near a vacuum store and you are disinterested in purchasing a vacuum online, I would recommend you buy a Kenmore vacuum cleaner at Sears. In my opinion, Kenmore consistently produces the best all around product line available in a retail setting. I don't feel that Kenmore vacuum cleaners are as good as Simplicity, Riccar, Miele, Bosch, or Sebo, but I would generally pick a Kenmore over a Dyson, Oreck, Hoover, Eureka, or Electrolux.

Vacuum stores typically carry the best vacuum cleaner models available. Retail typically carries the cheapest or that brands that have name recognition. Name recognition may provide you with some comfort during your vacuum purchase, but guarantees absolutely nothing as far as performance and reliability are concerned. Kenmore is one of the exceptions.

Kenmore is also one on the few brands that make good upright and canister vacuum cleaners. Some brands, even the big names, aren't as consistent in the quality of there product line as I find Kenmore to be.

Kenmore Vacuum Maintenance

Most of the currently Kenmore vacuum cleaner models utilize HEPA filters and chamber filters (motor filters) as well as vacuum bags. Make sure you change the Kennmore vacuum filters and bags regularly. On an upright Kenmore, the HEPA filter is typically located in the front of the vacuum cleaner in the door. The Kenmore canister HEPA filter may be on the top or in the back of the vacuum.

Kenmore parts can be found online. Sears is a little expensive as far as replacement parts are concerned (bags, filters, parts). I would buy Kenmore vacuum parts on the internet. Kenmore parts are generally easy to find and less expensive online.
